Privacy
Slidivo is a desktop application, not a service. The short version: we do not receive your documents, because there is nowhere for them to go.
What the app sends
The app makes outbound network requests in exactly three situations, and no others:
- To the AI provider you chose, using the credential you supplied, to write your deck. What that provider does with the content is governed by their own terms and privacy policy, which you accepted when you opened your account with them. We are not in this path and never see it. If you run a local Ollama model, this request never leaves your machine.
- To our payment provider (
api.polar.sh), to check that your licence key is still valid. This happens at most once every 30 days. It sends the key, the organisation identifier, and a device label of the formmacOS · 7f3a9c— a random identifier we generate. It does not contain your name, your username or your computer's name. - To a page you clicked, when you use a link in the app to open a provider's key page, your customer portal, or this website.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no usage tracking of any kind.
- No account, no sign-up, and no upload of your files to us.
- No reading of anything outside the folders it works in.
Where your things live
Projects and exported decks are written to your Documents folder. Settings and logs
live in the application-support folder macOS gives the app. Your AI provider key is stored in the
macOS Keychain, which is the same place Safari keeps your passwords; it is passed to the engine
that needs it and is never written to a settings file or sent to us.
When you buy
Checkout is handled entirely by Polar, our merchant of record. They collect the billing details needed to take payment and charge the correct tax, under their privacy policy. We see the order and the email address attached to it so that we can support you. We never receive your card details.
Email you send us
If you write to support@slidivo.com, we keep that conversation so we can help you and remember the context next time. Ask us to delete it and we will. Please do not send us your full licence key or any provider API key — the last four characters of a licence key are enough for us to find your order.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your machine, the change will be described here with a new date above, not slipped in silently.
