Terms of sale and use
Plain language, because terms you cannot read are not terms you agreed to.
What you are buying
A perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use Slidivo, for you or for the organisation that bought it. You are not buying the software itself, and the source code is not included. The licence does not expire.
How many machines
Up to three activations, meant for one person's own machines. You can release an activation from your customer portal when you replace a computer. Please do not share your key outside your organisation — a key that turns up in public may be revoked.
What you may not do
- Resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the application.
- Remove or alter the licence, copyright and attribution notices that ship inside it.
- Reverse engineer it to defeat the licence check, except where your local law allows it regardless of this clause.
What you make with it is yours
We claim nothing over the decks you create, the documents you feed it, or anything else you produce with the app. Note that your chosen AI provider has its own terms covering the content it generates, and those apply to you directly.
Third-party software and services
The application bundles open-source components, each under its own licence; the full list ships inside the app and can be read at any time. Separately, the app needs an AI provider that you supply and pay for. Their availability, pricing and terms are theirs, not ours, and we cannot promise anything on their behalf.
Payment, tax and refunds
Polar is the merchant of record for every sale. Your contract of purchase is with them; they handle payment, invoicing and the applicable tax, under their terms.
If Slidivo is not for you, write to us within 14 days of buying and we will refund the licence in full. No reason needed. Polar, our merchant of record, issues the refund to the card you paid with.
No warranty
The application is provided as it is. We have tested it and we use it ourselves, but we cannot promise it is free of defects, that it suits a particular purpose of yours, or that any given deck will come out the way you hoped. Keep your own copies of anything important — the app writes to your own folders precisely so that you can.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and if you bought as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
Changes to these terms
Terms may change for future purchases. The version in force for you is the one published on the day you bought, and we keep the date above current.
